This morning we decided to split up. Everyone had been a bit cranky, and given we're all living on top of each other, and going a hundred miles an hour, it was no surprise really.

I took Johnny, and we hired e-bikes and went for a cycle around the place. It was HEAPS of fun!!! Down through the parks, to Buckingham Palace, and across to Belgravia for a cupcake.

For years I've been following Peggy Porschen online. She has 2 cupcake cafe's in London, in Belgravia & Chelsea. We found the Belgravia one, and it did not disappoint! So beautiful, and the staff were kind and friendly. They'd want to be, the pumpkin spice cupcake we got was 6.50GBP! About $13. But it was delicious, and perfectly complemented the gorgeous weather and wonderful bike ride.

Luckily we loved the bike ride so much, because it cost 48.95 GBP! Quite a bit more than we expected, but definitely worth it! Loved the electric assist!!! Bikes also seem to get right of way here, provided you don't hit a pedestrian, and seem to be able to go just about everywhere, both on the pavement, roads and parks! Pretty much everyone has to give way to you, which is fabulous! And no helmets required either!!! Can't wait to do that again! Hopefully with the whole family next time.

It was quite spectacular riding up alongside the Serpentine, in the sunshine, hardly having to pedal, watching the the boaters out having fun, smelling people cooking their picnics, while I was sailing along. So far, Johnny's highlight of the trip!

Back up to Diana's Memorial Playground, we found K4 & Syd, and sat in the park for a couple of slices of quite good pizza.

We've got our feet up now, before we head out for a tiny bit of shopping and then to the theatre to see Wicked. Can't wait for that!

Part 2

Off to Oxford Street we went, for a spot of shopping. The crowds were throbbing, noises, smells and sights galore. Dropped into Primark for a few bits for Syd, and onward to Regent Street. The girls loved Liberty as they've been watching Cruella a bit lately, and quite a few scenes of it were filmed there. Quite iconic.

Behind Liberty is Carnaby Street, and Alysia's pub from another lifetime, the Blue Posts. So we stopped in for a quick pint, and on we went to Hamley's. My biggest regret so far on this trip is that we didn't budget enough time for here. I'm pretty good at walking away from a bit of retail therapy with a solid no, but I really could have bought up a storm!!! There was something to look at with every step!

I lost the kids a few times, and then just gave up. After a measly 40-ish minutes, I gave them all the hard word, and we got back on the tube to Victoria. Time was ticking, so a speedy dinner was had at the Victoria Market Halls, where we had some amazingly tender chicken wings with delicious guaca, nachos and pad thai. Syd had chips for the 50 billionth time this week.

Across the road we went to the Victoria Apollo Theatre to watch Wicked. Jess loved it! And the rest of us enjoyed it. Then we black cabbed it home, which pleased Johnny no end.

After falling into bed, we were snoring in no time.

19,000 steps.
